10 ways to detox

Detox can help the body and mind feel more healthy, and is a tool some use to manage their wellbeing. If you’re looking to detoxify your body, then here’s 10 changes you could make…  

1-    Ditch the dairy. Dairy tends to build up mucus and slow down liver function. Try alternatives such as goats cheese, almond milk and halloumi cheese which are much happier on your gut. 

2-    Control your caffeine. We all look forward to our morning cup of coffee but if you eliminate this you will feel less sluggish and better for it. 

3-    Banish alcohol. Simply eliminating alcohol on your liver will allow it to get to work processing the other toxins you’re trying to eliminate. 

4-    Go organic. We tend to go for cheaper fruit and veg that still taste good but have been sprayed with nasty pesticides. After an organic meal, notice how fuller you will feel.

5-    Detoxify the body with Bentonite Clay. Bentonite clay has been around for years as a method for protecting the body from disease. Add 1 teaspoon twice a day to a cup of water. Soon your energy levels will go up. 

6-    Drink while you think. Drink at least 1 litre of water per day and spice it up with lemons, limes and mint. 

7-    Oxygenate your body with movement. Think about how you aim to get moving on a daily basis.

8-    Love your liver. Increase your intake of liver loving foods by eating organic kale, broccoli, beets, carrots, onions, garlic or artichokes. 

9-    Maximise your magnesium. Magnesium has so many benefits and helps draw out toxins.

10- Sweat it out. Taking infrared saunas will also help speed up your detox without going on a diet.
